He Witnessed a Murder. But Who Will Believe Him?
A retired postal worker with early-onset dementia relives his old delivery route during a memory lapse — and stumbles upon a brutal murder. But no one believes him. Not the police. Not even his family. No one, that is, except for his two lifelong best friends. As the trio digs deeper, they uncover not only a buried crime but the shocking possibility that their friend may be sitting on a lost fortune — invested years ago in a meme stock craze he can't quite remember. With his memory fading fast, the clock is ticking to prove the murder… and find the missing millions.
Featuring Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Jimmie "J.J." Walker (Good Times), and Tulsa's own Brian Shoop. A heartfelt murder mystery laced with humor, loyalty, and the enduring power of friendship.
Forgotten Fortune
The film is sweet and easy… I really like that the film brings awareness of dementia. It was nice to see Lou Ferrigno, Jimmie Walker, Mark Sherwood, and Brian Shoop again — they all looked like they were having a blast making this. There's a cute twist in Act 3, and keep watching for more clips during the rolling credits.
Forgotten Fortune distinguishes itself in a crowded cinematic landscape by confronting aging — our universal, undefeated antagonist — with compassion and a wink. Dementia may steal memories, but it can't erase dignity, nor the instincts and intelligence that remain. That, ultimately, is the film's quiet treasure: a reminder that even when the mind misplaces a few things, the heart rarely forgets.
Forgotten Fortune is a welcome film that brings attention to the unwelcome ailments of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Yet, what writer/director Stevie Fernandez Jr. demonstrates is that a diagnosis does not end the value of life. Intelligence and instinct can remain, and therefore trust and faith should be upheld. That's the forgotten fortune of this film.
A modestly scaled, low-budget indie film that proves just how far strong storytelling and committed performances can go… The cinematography is a cut above what one might expect — compositions are thoughtfully framed to reflect Brian's confusion and isolation. What lingers long after the credits is its compassion: a deep respect for our elders, and a belief that their lives and stories still matter profoundly.
Faith-centered stories crafted to inspire, heal, and uplift. Each film carries a message rooted in wellness, purpose, and the transformative power of belief.
A recent college graduate's dream of becoming a filmmaker gets the boost it needs when he finds out his uncle has left him just enough money to make a small budget film. There are only two conditions: the movie must be faith-based and he must enlist his uncle's ghost to guide him through the project and rebuild his faith.
